Enviroearth just implements a new 80kWp PV Solar hybrid mini-grid generating and distributing power to the Sitolo Village in Mchinji district, Malawi, located 18 km from Mchinji Boma and 12 km from the national grid.

The “all-in-one” Enviroearth containerized turnkey solution integrating the hybrid inverter, a Lead Carbon (PB-C) battery storage unit of 950kWh and the “Reemon” (the in-house Enviroearth remote monitoring system), is particularly well adapted to such challenging location.

The project funded by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF) , implemented with the collaboration of Community Energy Malawi (CEM), initially connect 150 households, grocery shops, a salon and barber shops, one bar, a maize mill, the local school and health clinic as well as six street lights. In future, the system coverage could include more households and other productive uses (such as milk cooling and metal workshops).

The UN Country Office based in Dar Es Salaam (Tanzania) inaugurated early August 2019 the Solar Hybrid Power System designed, supplied, installed and commissioned by Enviroearth and its local partner last June on the UN House.

The containerized system includes 227kWp of PV roof and carport mounted and a 122.8kWh Lithium-Ion battery bank. The Solar generator is connected to the grid and to an existing diesel powergen used as back-up.

The solar system is currently the biggest solar hybrid power plant site installed in Tanzania, it’s allowing :
– 70% of the electricity consumption of the UN Building covered by solar energy
– 68 T of CO₂ emissions avoided annually
– Save over $34k per year

Prolann, Enviroearth and Fedd Presidents met on Wednesday 28 June in Vienna at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, where CTBTO was organizing the SnT, a scientific conference focused on nuclear test detection technologies.

Seismowave, the entity bringing together these three French specialists in infrasound measurement technology, presented to the SnT its new product: the Infrasonic Portable Station. Named TIME1 for Temporary Infrasound Monitoring Equipment, it combines in a backpack and rolling stock all the elements needed to install a temporary station within minutes, with access to an integrated power source. This new design, specially developed for site surveys or temporary measurement campaigns, greatly facilitates the transport and installation of systems to be operational for a limited time.

Early April, Enviroearth took part in the "Semaine de la France" organised by the French embassy in Tanzania.

Many workshops and forums dealing with several themes took place during that week in order improve collaboration and synergies between the French and Tanzanian private sector. A workshop dedicated to renewable energy was organised by Business France. Enviroearth presented to the local authorities and Tanzanian companies its know-how related to rural electrification, mini-grids, solar home systems and solar power plants.

Enviroearth intends to increase its activities in Sub-Saharan Africa in order to enhance the development and electrification of this continent.

Envirogroup reached the final stage of the Med’Innovant 2016 Contest, organised by Euroméditerranée

This contest aims at promoting innovative sustainable projects in the field of Smart Cities, some of which will be tested in real-life on the experimental territory of the Euroméditerranée Eco-city.

As a finalist of the contest, Envirogroup presented its innovative solutions: ECO³.

ECO³ is the collaboration of 9 cleantechs led by Envirogroup to implement a collaborative offer of low-carbon technologies and services dedicated to public and private eco-cities and eco-districts developers. This entity aims at working from the upstream expertise (Carbon surveys, biodiversity, water and land) in order to identify the most relevant technologies and services, up to the installation and commissioning of the equipment and to the post-installation monitoring and end-users coaching. ECO³ is an entity offering various technologies and services, with the advantage of a unique contact person. ECO³ includes renewable energies, a system of energy efficiency of buildings, smart solar street lighting, solar charging system for electric vehicles, low-carbon decentralized wastewater management, smart waste collection.
